Another problem with business consultants is that in most of the cases they are pointing out what is already visible. This is because instead of approaching the root cause of a business problem, most of the business consultants focus on pointing out the problem itself. The companies hire business consultants so that they could investigate the problem, not highlight it. If the company had not recognized the problem in the first place, why would the business consultants be hired at all?

One more criticism to which the business consultants often fall prey is lack of integrity. The business consultants should try to stay as much objective in their work procedure as they can be. Sometimes it is not the fault of business consultants at all, because the managers and employees do not provide them accurate information. But there are known cases where business consultants have deliberately twisted their findings in order to save certain people or to boost their own earnings by creating problems out of thin air, where there were none at all.

Apart form this the business consultants have faced other minor points of criticism. In some cases the business consultants provide data related to analysis but do not suggest any solutions. Business consultants are criticized for over charging or the consultancy sending junior level analysts where specially skilled or senior level analysts were required. The business consultants are also known to sell standardized reports, while saying that they are the specialized work done for their needs only and suggest ambiguity in work procedure. Other common business related criticisms have also been imposed on business consultants like focusing more on bigger clients and making the clients pay even for the non-working day.
